Miroir Noir new catalogue

Ja va sortir el catàleg de l'exposició de Miroir Noir a Trencin (SVK). Una bellesa de 64 pàgines, amb tota l'expo per ordre, i algunes pàgines desplegables amb dibuixos del mestre Bazovsky, que ens van servir de punt de partida per recrear-ne l'univers. // We finally managed to get the exhibition catalogue done, and it is a beautiful 64 page book with all the paintings in the exhibition, following the hanging order, and including a few of the Bazovsky's drawings,we used as starting point to recreate his slovaklands universe.

'No -ningú' Group Show @ Konvent (CAT)

Gran gran expo col·lectiva d'estiu al Konvent. La instal·lació de les meves peces a la Capella que va fer el Pep Espelt és de les millors coses que m'han passat aquest any! // Great great summer exhibition @ Konvent (Berga, Catalonia). My pieces were beautifully installed at the Chappel space. So nice.

'More than 30' Group Show @ Modra (SVK)

Vaig tenir l'honor de ser l'únic guiri, o foraster, a una col·lectiva d'art eslovac al Zoya Museu-Galeria, a Modra, Eslovàquia. El museu és l'hòstia, com podeu veure. // Been with Miroir NOIR among the best slovak artists in a mega group show at the luxurious ZOYA Gallery&Museum, in Modra (SVK), homeland of the finest slovak wines.

Top Models LP Cover

Direcció d'art del recopilatori de l'extint grup Top Models. El disseny gràfic el va fer el company Riot Über Alles.

Did the art direction for the Top Models cover for the recopilatory LP. Not much of my art, just small brainy job. Artwork was done by my brother Riot Über Alles.

New WEB launched

Durant aquest any tant d'impàs he anat fent una web nova, amb la informació més ben presentada i indexada. Feia set anys que la tenia tal qual!! De moment la presentació de l'obra només està començada; ja hi ha setze galeries, que amb els dies veig que no acaben d'ensenyar tot el que ja comença a ser una torrentera. Veient amb perspectiva la seqüència del treball, m'ha agradat veure-hi que l'esperit s´ha mantingut en el temps, encara que hi hagi anys que sembla que vaig treballar com dècades, i d'altres on aparentment sembla que vaig sobrevolar sense fer gaire res. L'anàlisi del recorregut i del que encara m'inspira m'ha ajudat molt a veure quines feines tinc encara pendents.

Durante este año de impasse he estado poniendo a punto la nueva web, con toda  la información mejor presentada e indexada. Siete años que llevaba sin tocarla, casi un crimen! Por el momento, la presentación de la obra sólo está embastada, aunque ya haya dieciséis galerías. Viendo la secuencia de trabajos en perspectiva, me ha gustado ver que el espíritu Escalé se ha mantenido con el tiempo, aunque haya años que parece que han cundido como décadas, y otros donde aparentemente he sobrevolado sin hacer demasiado nada. Analizar el recorrido y lo que todavía me inspira, me ha ayudado mucho a ver qué trabajos tengo pendientes.

During this past year of impasse I have been polishing the new website, improving the presentation and index of all works and matters. I hadn’t changed a comma for seven years - deplorable!

For the time being the series shown are selected randomly,  arranged in sixteen Galleries so far, in a mix of my solo works and Miroir Noir's. They could be hundreds so what to do.

Looking back over the sequence of works, I was pleased to see that the original 'Escalé spirit' has remained there throughout, in spite of some years seeming to work out like decades, and others I apparently soared over without doing too much of anything… The analysis of what I've already done and what still inspires me has helped me a lot to see the work remaining undone.
