He tornat a fer servir els olis. Feia des dels anys noranta que no en gastava. I ja estava fart del punt aquest mort dels acrílics. Que van molt bé per fer segons quin tipus de pintura, però que mai saps exactament on ets, ni de to, ni de color ni de contrastos.
Aquests dies he tingut temps per penjar algunes galeries noves a la web amb la feina dels dos últims anys.
Hi presento una serie de retrats, que no són gaire més que experiments, que he fet intentant disfrutar la nova coloritat i cremositats de l'oli.
He estat fent versions de clàssics, com aquesta 'Òrfena al cementiri' de Delacroix, i tot d'altres sèries més personals, que ja aniré penjant.

After maybe 15 or more years on acryl and dry techniques, I was a bit tired of the faded colors, difficult tone control and intensity limitations. Although yes, acrylic is so much cheap and easy for the uncareful or expressive painting.
And yes, if applied in 'that' masterly way, using A grade brands, and always after varnishing can look very fine.
Same with Windows, does the job, but the 'something feel' is shittier, overall.
