Miroir Noir letting go style

 Vaig estar a Bratislava abans de Nadal un parell de setmanes. Aquest 2019 només ens hem trobat tres cops. 6 setmanes que han cundit. De fet del viatge del Milos a casa a la primavera no he penjat ni notícia ni fotos. Vem estar fent paisatges al pati, prò no vem estar gaire per fer fotos i els quadres ja són a Bratislava esperant el fotògraf. Igual que els del viatge de desembre. Portem una mica de retràs amb la documentació gràfica prò aquest any hem anat de cul.
En tot cas penjo un parell de fotos de mòvil per il·lustrar aquest últim viatge. Tot i que vam treballar en altres sèries també, en aquests gats s'hi veu un nou destensament que fa venir ganes de tornar-hi.

We joined again in Bratislava couple of weeks before Christmas.  We hadn't met since last May in Rai's Tarragon studio, (although it is not registered here as the work pics we got weren't so convincing and we're getting too old to post ourselves monkeying). 
This second time we kinda started doubtful but turned out to be a mega productive working meeting. Once we decided that we were going to try to amuse while painting, and to let it run more free than lately, like back in the old days. It worked pretty well and we worked in many different series. Some amazing pieces, light but soulful, still needing some finishing and proper documentation.
Only some telephone shit photos, but let's see examples of that new easiness flowing in the studio is starting to show...

Christmas windows @ Bcn (CAT)

Vaig 'il·lustrar' els aparadors de Nadal de la botiga Santa Eulàlia, al Passeig de Gràcia de Barcelona. Un projecte dels amors lefreak.

'Faces of Freedom' Miroir Noir group show @ Nitra (SVK)

We had a room in that fantastic exhibition, @ Nitra Galery, from Sept. 13th to Nov. 24th 2019.

The international exhibition of contemporary visual art titled Pobody Slovody / Faces of Freedom was organised by the Nitra City Gallery in cooperation with the Divadelná Nitra Association on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain (in former Czechoslovakia known as the Velvet Revolution), whose primary contribution to our society is freedom.

'Museum', expo al Santa Teca Fest @ Escornalbou (CAT)

Festival d'un cap de setmana, organitzat pels cracs del Santa Teca de Tarragona, al Castell d'Escornalbou, entre el Baix Camp i el Priorat. Un lloc impressionant.
2 days festival in the magnificent Escornalbou Castle, with gorgeous views to Baix Camp and Priorat. Territoir wine-culture festivals are something not to miss,and this one is very special.

Miroir Noir 'Statek Robinsona' group show @ Wraclaw (POL)

Els Miroir Noir enviarem un parell de teles grans a Breslau. Jo tampoc sabia com es deia en català Wraclaw. En castellà es Breslavia, que encara sembla més del Tintín. Una cinquantena dels millors pintors d'Europa Central i de l'Est. I un català infiltrat!!! Al Museu d'Arquitectura de la ciutat, fins a finals d'agost.  /// We're sending a cuople of big paintings to this huge show. The best Central and Eastern Europe painters and a smugled catalan together @ Wroclaw Architecture Museum.

The show features about 190 artworks, which makes it one of the largest exhibitions of figurative art in Central and Eastern Europe. It showcases 55 young and promising artists from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The pieces on show include painting, graphics, photography as well as sculpture and glass objects.

The Robinson’s Ship exhibition lasts until August the 28th of 2019.

Miroir Noir Playing with Manet's Olympia

Vaig fer una visita no gaire llarga a Bratislava després de més de mig any de no anar-hi. Des de la inauguració de la expo de Miroir Noir, a l'Estiu a Trencin. Sense dir-nos ho massa tots dos vem pendre'ns una respirada. No ho havíem fet en els darrers deu anys i tocava. Ha anat bé descansar de Miroir Noir. Jo m´he concentrat en posar en marxa la casa nova i el taller, que al final ha passat un any de feinada. Mentre, el Milos ha estat viatjant en plan disnevième siècle, visitant Louvre i Hermitage diariament durant setmanes. En plan malalt de l'art modern, que és el que és. Jiji, ho dic aquí que no em sent.
Vem estar jugant amb una de les icones que el Milos havia estat veient. Vaig proposar-ho jo sabent la sossada de quadro que és. Però tot i així. La veritat és que m'imaginava que aniríem per una altra banda, però és la gràcia de Miroir Noir, suposo :))) Encara fotos marranotes del mòvil, però per fer-se'n la idea...

After more than six months of being apart, Miroir Noir reunited during a few days in March in the Bratislava studio.
It was weird after so long no meeting. And after having closed the MRB project and the exhibition (that will be showing again next February in Martin (SK) City Gallery.
As a random playing theme, and after Milos's visits to Orsay we chose Manet's Olympia to play a little as a warming exercise. It took us the whole week this warming state. We still got the raw mobile pictures we took in the studio, but meh, just to get the idea thay work enough..
